At Savannah Cottage, our focus is 100% dedicated to those with memory loss because we understand the challenges, changes and difficulties of dementia. We are committed to improving and enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Our associates realize each resident is unique just as their current stage and progression of dementia is different. Special activities and support services are offered to provide the maximum quality of life for those with memory loss. We recognize that there are few options available to adult children and spouses who may be the primary caregiver for family members diagnosed with dementia. By providing an alternative environment to a nursing home, Savannah Cottage offers a personalized family approach to meeting the needs of residents challenged with memory loss.
The “Three S’s” are the core of our activities program - Structure, Stimulation and Socialization. The Activities Coordinator designs the daily programs to minimize frustration and enhance independence. We greatly respect the individual past experiences and preferences of each resident and update our activities frequently. Whether it’s the morning arm chair exercise group, an interactive crafts class, a sing a-long, the daily news or an afternoon children’s performance, our residents have plenty to keep them busy.
